Sulfonyl technology
Chlorosulfonation of toluene and benzene leads to a number of sulfonyl-based chemicals. These intermediates are used in subsequent amidation and esterification reactions, which yield the majority of our products. Stereochemistry is involved here. Sustainable production is thus only possible when using the technology that produces the right isomers in exactly the right ratio.
This is the technology that was originally developed by Axcentive’s predecessor Akzo Nobel. The basics of this technology are still used today.
